Math Made Easy- The Math Learning Center

I hope you are using the wonderful resources from The Math Learning Center.  They offer innovative and curriculum based tools and resources for mathematics.  Their tools are easy and fun to use and can be implemented into your lesson plans seamlessly.  These resources are offered as Apps for IOS and web-based.  Each App opens on a whiteboard background with the tools aligned across the bottom or side.  There is an "i" on the bottom right that will give you step-by-step directions and explain what each icon does and how to use.  I have listed just a few that are available.  Click on "Open Web App" to go directly to the web-based app.  For more apps, go to their website:

The Math Learning Center

Fractions lets students use a bar or circle to represent, compare, and perform operations with fractions with denominators from 1 to 100. Choose the fraction model and number of equal parts. Use a color to select specific parts to show a fraction of the whole.
Geoboard is a tool for exploring a variety of mathematical topics introduced in grades K–8. Learners stretch bands around pegs to form line segments and polygons and make discoveries about perimeter, area, angles, fractions, and more.

Math Vocabulary Cards help students deepen their conceptual understanding of key terms in mathematics. Each card features three sections: a math term, a representative example or model, and a concise definition.

Money Pieces help students visualize and understand money values and relationships. Two versions of coins and bills are provided: virtual currency pieces that replicate the appearance and relative size of U.S. coins and the dollar bill, and area money pieces.

Ebates - Thank Goodness I Found You!!

Ebates is my FAVORITE find from 2016!  It is a rebate program for shopping online and in store.  There is NO catch or fees to join.  You simply sign up for the program, add the Chrome extension to make it super easy, and start shopping.  Every time you go online to shop, Ebates will tell you if they have a rebate for that store or site.  There are very few places that don't give rebates.  You simply click the activate button and go back to shopping.  The rebates range from 1%-10% usually.  Even at 1%, you're getting something back for clicking a button.  Another plus is the $10 bonus just for signing up!  Once you make your first purchase, they will send you a check for $10 plus the amount you earned on your first purchase.  After that, you'll receive a Big, Fat Check (depending on how much you shop), once a quarter.  For in store purchases, simply add your credit card to your account, and click "link" on any of the stores available that you normally shop.  You will automatically receive the rebate if you're in store and use that card.  There's an App to download for easy access to your account and to search stores for rebates.

This is a short video showing how easy Ebates is to use:

And finally, here is the link to join:
